Our Roots Where We're From

A 15-year-old boy found a summer job at The Jack Tar Beach House in Destin, FL. The boy felt such a strong sense of fulfillment serving and interacting with guests, so he continued pursuing jobs in the hospitality industry for many years to come. That boy was Innisfree’s founder and board president, Julian MacQueen, and his passion for exceptional hospitality still resonates in the company today.

Innisfree Hotels was formed in 1985 and acquired its first property, Family Inns of America (Mobile, AL). Operating primarily in the Gulf Coast, the company found its niche in beachside hotels and resorts. But this niche is not a limiting factor for any of our services. Our strong portfolio spans various US cities and is always diversifying with new projects and boutique hotel developments.

If there’s one thing that hasn’t changed over the years, it’s simply that everything starts with people. And that’s why we place so much emphasis on cultivating great experiences for our employees, partners, and guests.
