The Public Space Attendant performs routine duties in cleaning and servicing hotel areas under the supervision of the housekeeping supervisor. The Public Space  Attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrates Innisfree Hotels’ culture by creating a fun, happy, and safe work environment.
  • Cleans windows, doors, trash receptacles, bars, counters, floors, chairs and tables as assigned.
  • Cleans elevators.
  • Organizes closets and spaces for cleaning supplies and storage.
  • Vacuums and mops all open areas and hallways.
  • Replenish amenities according to the operational standards.
  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests e.g. iron and ironing boards
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform rotation cleaning duties (e.g. steam clean carpets, spring cleaning, super cleaning etc.) as required
  • Cleans guest bathroom/bed room/floor corridor.
  • Responsible for the replenishment of guest complimentary water.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and maintaining of his work area.
  • Responsible for the Hotel property in the work area.
  • Responsible for cleaning pool areas and all pool furniture.
  • Attends to guest calls, guest requests /guest complaints in the area assigned to him.
  • Authorize to enter in guestrooms for cleaning and providing turndown services as per requirement.
  • Responsible for following the standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for achieving and exceeding the guest satisfaction score.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience  

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Language Skills  

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. 

Mathematical Skills  

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 

Reasoning Ability  

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
