Assist the Director of Sales in all aspects of the job including creating contracts, building relationships, and being a main point of contact for each group.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrates Innisfree Hotels’ culture by creating a fun, happy, and safe work environment.
- Reviews information on sales meetings, conventions, training classes, overnight travel, and other functions held by organization members to select prospective customers for hotel services.
- Assists the Director of Sales to solicit business, analyzing requirements of function, outlining available hotel facilities and services offered, and quoting prices.
- Verifies reservations by letter, or draws up contract and obtains signatures, creates proposals, Banquet Event Orders, Group Resume’s, and weekly packets.
- Confers with customer and hotel department heads to plan function details such as space requirements, publicity, time schedule, food service, and decorations.
- Serves as convention advisor or coordinator during function to minimize confusion and resolve problems such as space adjustment and need for additional equipment.
- Maintain detailed files including Direct Bill accounts, rooming lists, and other client files
- Assists the Director of Sales with all aspects of the job, including conducting and coordinating site visits with current or prospect guests and ensuring 100% group satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
