Summary 

The Assistant General Manager works under the direction of the General Manager and is responsible for the overall guest services of the hotel to create a fun, safe, and unique experience. The Assistant General Manager will need to demonstrate Innisfree’s culture and the ability to lead, supervise, and train. He or she coordinates and provides assistance in all areas of the hotel, including housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage as necessary.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

  1. Demonstrates Innisfree Hotels’ culture by creating a fun, happy, and safe work environment. 
  1. Acts in the capacity of General Manager in his or her absence. 
  1. Performs duties of the department supervisors in his or her absence.  
  1. Responsible for the appropriate scheduling of the front office and front desk team members, labor reports, and payroll. 
  1. Monitors statistical and financial records, prepares reports for the Regional Director. 
  1. Assists in the development of the annual marketing plan by developing strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.  
  1. Monitors the actual to budget rations throughout the year and understands the triple bottom line philosophy. 
  1. Responsible for team member engagement, communications, training, and development. 
  1. Promotes and adheres to Innisfree’s policies, procedures, and culture. 
  1. Responsible for Guest Service scores, reviews the scores with the staff, site areas for improvement, and creates incentives. 
  1. Ensures that guest call back program is in place and repeated with every check in, daily with documentation. 
  1. Reviews the manager on duty log book for all shifts and ensures that any and all issues are addressed and documented. 
  1. Protects the hotel and assets by enforcing and maintain security, preventative maintenance, and safety program. 
  1. Motivates the staff and establishes a productive and positive work environment. 
  1. Establishes consistent operating procedures. 
  1. Organizes all deposits as directed by the General Manager. 
  1. Loads all direct bills into the system as directed by General Manager. 
  1. Keeps abreast of the competition, completes the occupancy and ADR call around report daily. 
  1. Adheres to local, state, and federal laws in regards to FLSA, OSHA, EEOC and any other compliance board. 
  1. Provides orientation for new employees. 
  1. Handles guest complaints and special requests. 
  1. Demonstrates a commitment to service and guest engagement. 
  1. Demonstrates Innisfree Hotels’ culture by creating a fun, happy, and safe work environment. 
  1. Completes additional tasks as assigned.  

 

Education, Training, and Experience 

Associate’s Degree required in Hospitality Management or related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred; CHA certificate preferred; 3-5 years in the hospitality industry, minimum 2 years in a management position. 

 

Experience will be considered in place of degree.
