Brittney started with Innisfree working as a bartender at the Hilton Hotel on Pensacola Beach while completing her undergraduate degree at the University of West Florida in International Policy and Economics. After graduating, she moved to Chicago where she attained her master’s degree in Urban Planning focusing on Sustainability. Brittney then relocated to Tampa, Florida and worked in the urban planning realm of economic development and land use, as an economic analyst planner and later heading up a Land Use Planning department for a Tampa-based law firm. In efforts to focus solely on sustainability, she began consulting on sustainability program implementation and reporting on behalf of real estate clients. Feeling a calling back to the hospitality industry, Brittney has returned to Innisfree to support building out sustainability programs for the portfolio. Her diverse background and academic roots in Systems Thinking supports sustainable concepts facilitating collaboration and engagement, value add, and meaningful climate action.
Brittney is a LEED Green Professional and is an AICP certified planner. She is active in the USGBC’s local Women in Green events. When not working, Brittney enjoys all things outdoors including running and swimming with her partner and 8-year old son. Brittney also enjoys crafting homemade vermouths from local ingredients.
