Innisfree Helps Community Garden From The Ground Up

Strong Communities From The Ground Up

In the spring of 2015, Innisfree Hotels dug deeper into corporate citizenship and launched a new initiative – planting a community garden. We’re no strangers to breaking ground. It’s something we do with each new hotel. This time, we did it to feed the community and feed our soul.
Join Us

In From the Ground Up Community Garden, we are planting more than vegetables. We’re planting opportunities. We’re planting a chance for kids and their parents to grow healthy foods that will sustain their bodies, as well as their minds. We’re providing a chance for them to learn how to grow their own food.

There are many social advantages to growing community gardens. They improve the health and well-being of those involved, beautify neighborhoods, reduce family food budgets and working in the garden is great exercise.

Innisfree manages the garden in partnership with the City of Pensacola who entrusted us with an abandoned community garden.

We invite everyone to join us in our efforts to grow something tasty and beautiful in the place we call home. Let’s get dirty!

Weekly veggie box memberships are available, and volunteers are encouraged. For details on volunteer hours, the box program, and events email Elizabeth Eubanks at eeubanks@innisfreehotels.com.

Check out the From the Ground Up website and follow From the Ground Up on Facebook to stay up to date on all garden happenings.
